Ariana Grande’s Fantastic Career

Ariana Grande's Career

Ariana Grande's Life and Stardom

Born June 26th, 1993, Ariana Grande-Butera was born in Boca Rotan, Florida. Her name has influences from the 1959 Felix the Cat cartoon, specifically from Princess Oriana. Her parents are Joan Grande and Edward Butera. Her mother worked at an alarm system company and her father owns his own graphic design firm but her parents separated when Grande was only a small child of about 8. She comes from a family of Italian descent and she has a brother named Frankie who is an entertainer like Ariana, working as a producer, actor, and dancer.

Of course, now the famous starlet is known as an actress and singer. From a relatively early age Ariana Grande showed potential and interest in the areas of acting and music. When she was only a child Ariana performed in Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz. By the tender age of 8 Ariana was already on her way to fame. She performed at a karaoke lounge on a cruise ship, in a number of orchestras, and she made her first television debut singing The Star-Spangled Banner for the Florida Panthers. As a young teenager of only 14 Grande set her vision on recording an R&B album. She won a National Youth Theatre Association Award for her performance in the musical 13. She played the role of Cat Valentine on Victorians which turned out to be the biggest turning point in Grande's career. Although she had experienced a fair degree of popularity before that time, appearing in the Nickelodeon sitcom definitely put Ariana Grande on the map, if nothing else had. For her performance as Cat Valentine Grande had to dye her hair red every week, so this was one of her most distinguishable characteristics during this time. Although she claimed she enjoyed the role Grande said that her real passion rests in singing.

In 2010 she played Miriam in Cuba, another musical, but she didn't really get to show her true musical colors until the soundtrack Victorious: Music from the Hit TV Show released and she got her first track with “Give It Up.” This was in 2011. Meanwhile, Grande had been working with vocal coach Eric Vitro and recording songs she had sung and posting them on Youtube. At last, due to her impression on Youtube, Grande got the attention of Lipman and was finally able to get a recording contract. In December of 2011 she released her very first single, titled “Put Your Hearts Up.”

Grande has done more work for Nickelodeon in the past, in shows like Same & Cat and Winx Club. Yours Truly was released in 2013 and it was her debut album. In 2013 she also began to date a member of The Wanted named Nathan Sykes, but the relationship was short lived and only endured a few months. In 2014 she dated Jai Brooks, the video star, and they had a relatively public relationship. After this relationship came to an end Grande started dating Big Sean, the rapper, and they broke it off in April of this year.
